At Bee Well Community, we understand that you may have questions about ketamine therapy and our approach. That's why we've compiled a list of frequently asked questions to help you get the answers you need. If you don't see your question below, feel free to reach out to us directly!
-
What are the requirements to participate in group ketamine? To ensure the best experience for all group members, we ask that each participant have an current relationship with a therapist or have participated in a group experience in the past. Some exceptions may be made. We will ask to contact your therapist or previous group leader for endorsement as a participant. We then schedule an individual, 15-minute discovery call to discuss the group's basic structure, dates, and address any questions. Following this, participants will complete an application, inclusive of medical and mental health history. Then we will schedule a 45-minute medical evaluation with Dr. Amy de la Garza for ketamine prescription and a 45-minute intake session with Ivy Rose Marsh, LCSW, to discuss any concerns or questions about the group.
-
Are there any specific medical conditions that would prevent me from receiving treatment?Ketamine therapy is not indicated for patients diagnosed with psychosis. If you have high blood pressure, cardiac, and/or pulmonary issues it may be necessary for your primary care physician to provide a medical clearance before being prescribed ketamine.
-
Do I have to have to be experienced in ketamine to attend the group? In most instances, we prefer that participants have prior experience with ketamine. If you have not we may request an individual session before joining the group.
-
Is the ketamine journey in a group setting? The ketamine will be administered in a group setting. However, participants are advised not to interact with each other until the integration phase post-journey. This precaution is in place to provide each individual with optimal conditions for exploring their own healing intelligence. The group room will be facilitated and monitored by Dr. de la Garza and Ivy Rose Marsh.
-
Do I have to share in the group?Due to the small size of the group, participation is strongly encouraged. However, what and how much is shared should be at the comfort and discretion of each participant.
-
What if I decide I don't want to do ketamine? You are never obligated to do ketamine. If you decide not to, we ask that stay in the group and participate without medication.
-
How much does it cost? The normal rate for our program is $2,500. For our first group of 2024 we are offered it at a deeply discounted rate of $1,700. For a limited time we are keeping it discounted at $2,100.
